El Alamein Military Museum is one of the most famous Military Museums in Egypt, which was able to document the most ferocious Battles that took place on the Desert Land of the Coastal City of El Alamein during World War II in nineteen forty two, between the allied Countries and the Axis, and is always open for Visits by Foreigners and Egyptians. The establishment of the El Alamein Military Museum became an inspiration after the fierce war between the Allied Powers, England, America, France and Poland in front of the Axis Powers who were Germany, Italy and Japan, with the help of Egypt., the Allied Forces defeated the Axis forces and expelled them from Egypt. On the sixteenth of December nineteen sixty five, the El Alamein Military Museum was inaugurated during the period of the Late Leader Gamal Abdel Nasser. The Musem consist of five Halls, which include the exhibits of all the Countries that took part in the war, for example the Soldiers Dining Tools and Models, and a Bible for one of the Soldiers who participated in the War. The Main Lobby is an area whose sides are decorated with murals that tell the stories of the War and also carved pictures of the Leaders of the Armies participating in the War and also shows very important Maps of the War, and in the middle of the Lobby is a Monument surmounted by a Model of a Group of White Doves which indicates that the Years of War ended in Peace. The Museum was built as a Memorial of the Battle of Al Alamein, between the British and the Germans in nineteen forty two, plus the Battles which took place in South Africa during the Second World War. The Al Alamein War Museum was renewed and reopend in nineteen ninety two, which was during the Presidency of Mubarak. The Museum is one of the best Places to Visit in order to achieve an understanding of the Story of World War II in Egypt. Explanation… The Al Alamein Museum is an entire illustration of the Story of World War II, in North Africa, which contains all of the Records of events. Even before you enter the Museum properly, there are massive Army Tanks and various larger Weapons in the Garden. The Visitor can view the Heavy equipment from World War II, also go inside a Tank or an Army Car or even climb up and sit on top of the Tank. The Garden has approx.. fifteen Large pieces which were used by different Forces in the Battle of Al Alamein. Inside the Museum there are Five Halls, each of them is dedicated to one of the Four Countries which were involved in the War, including Great Britain, Italy Germany and Egypt.
