The Colossi of Memnon are 2 huge twin Statues made from blocks of quartzite sandstone.which guard the entrance to the Amenhotep Memorial Temple.There is a beautiful legend that says the statues would sing at dawn and this was the tears or dew drops from his mother after his death.
