King Tutankhamoun Ancient Egypt Kingdom. His Early Life. In the City of Amarana in 1334 BC Tuttenkhamun was born. His Mummy shows that he dies when he was nearly 18 years of age, it is disputed though about when he actually did die. Not knowing if his body was damaged either before or after his death, some reports revealed that Bone fragments in his skull may indicate either he was assassinated, while a broken leg bone indicated his death was due to an accident, but archeologists from all over the World are still trying to determine the exact cause of death to this day, Tutankhamun, also spelled Tutankhamen or Tutankhmon , originally Tutankhanten, who has recently been lnown as King Tut.famous for his entire Tomb KV62 which was discovered in the Valley of the Kings in 1922, because he ruled Egypt when he was only 9 years of age he became known as the Boy King. More than likely the most famous person from Ancient Egyptian History is Tutankhamun. The discovery of his entire Tomb in the Valley of the Kings in 1922 by Howard Carter activated a surge of renewed interest in Ancient Egypt and thus began the Era of Modern Egyptian Tourism Since there were so many Gods at this time Arkehaten decided to say there was only one God which brought about outrage surrounding this change and therefore eventually brought forth in Akhanaten being assassinated. There were beliefs that Tut was allowed to tale the Throne because of him being so young and so he would have been easy to control. On the 17th of Februrary 1923 the Tomb was officially opened in the presence of famous archeologists and Representatives of the Government. Howard Carter at first could not comprehend the Treasures that were found ., after the local Luxor Child Hussein Abdel-Rasoul alerted him about the Tomb and then guided him to the Golden Cemetary, they were incredible and the Tomb was unusually small for a Pharaohs Tomb which consists of 110 square meters of floor space. The space is segregated amongs corridoors passages, ante chambers, burial chambers and two further rooms which were known as the Treasury and the Annex,Tutankhamun’s reign in Life was much less eminent, in fact he was a relatively Minor Pharaoh. He took the Throne when he was approx.. 10 years of age. Why is King Tut so famous? Tutankhamun is so famous because his Tomb was discovered intact, reason being because Tut died suddenly the Tomb was not ready to receive his body, but there is speculation that his successor the Great Commander Ai, died and he was buried in Tomb KV23, which may have been originally dedicated to Tut, but was not completed at the time of his death, so this made it impossible for any Robbers to know where Tut was buried. Another reason for this is the treasures of the King was of great importance and is one of the most complete Treasures to be found, consisting of 350 pieces including the Golden Mask, 3 coffins 1 of pure gold and 2 of gilded wood. Why was King Tut’s Tomb small. Due to the unexpected death of Tut and because he was so young and there was no time for the workers to finish a larger Tomb. There is speculation also that the Tomb has another undiscovered Chamber. Who was King Tut’s Wife. Very little is known about King Tut’s wife, whose name was Ankhesenamun meaning She lives through Amun, this was in her earlier years , originally known as Ankhesenpaaten meaning she lives through the Aten. The difference in her name came about because of the change in worship from one God to another. The first God was The God Aten, known as Sun Disc which later was changed to God Amun which means The Hidden One. Due to historical theories she was probably his half sister and she was married to Tut when she was approx.. 13 years of age. There is some speculation that there was a Bouquet of Flowers over the Mummy of Tut perhaps laid there by his Wife. What diseases did King Tut have? There are many Reports and theories regarding the diseeases that King Tut had, including Malaria, epilepsy, a slightly cleft palate, curved spine, he also had to walk with a cane. Some new evidence has also bought about that maybe he died as a result of Congenital defects and not assassination.
